PeriPath

PeriPathSide View

PeriPath is a novel access tool that obviates the need for open cardiac surgical procedures by replacing the current standard of care with a single-incision, percutaneous procedure. This technique has potential to reduce post-procedural pain, procedure time, length of stay, complications and cost.

PeriPath consists of two working channels that allow for the simultaneous insertion of therapies (ablation catheter, pacemaker or defibrillator lead, needle) with a rigid thoracoscope for direct visualization of the procedure.

PeriPath accommodates 4mm endoscopes, 3.5mm delivery tools, and therapies up to 8mm in diameter.

This video demonstrates the placement of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) lead in the pericardial space of an animal model under direct visualization performed with the use of PeriPath.

PeriTorq

PeriTorq is a novel torque tool designed to improve the maneuverability and stability of catheters during interventional cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures.  PeriTorq provides catheter stability without causing internal damage.

PeriTorq can be applied to catheters ranging from 4-8 French.  These include diagnostic electrophysiology catheters, radiofrequency and cryoablation catheters and interventional catheters.

PeriTorq has been tested with diagnostic electrophysiology and radiofrequency ablation catheters and has demonstrated excellent torquability and stability without affecting signal integrity or the ability to deliver radiofrequency energy.
